John Manley

5, 1950 in Ottawa, Ontario
Education : He
graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor
of arts degree in 1971. He studied at
l'Université de Lausanne - École
française moderne in1972 and then studied
law at the University of Ottawa, graduating in
1976. From 1976 to 1977 he served as Law Clerk for
the Right Honourable Bora Laskin, Chief Justice of
Canada. He has also been awarded an honorary
doctorate from the University of Ottawa.
